Seattle

Just across the water from Kirkland is the beautiful city of Seattle. It doesn't happen much, but when Mason and I get the chance we love to take the bus across the water and enjoy the city. It's cheaper than bridge tolls, gas and parking all combined. I hope to do this more in the summer when we have more time and it gets a bit sunnier outside as well. Here are a few of our favorite spots if you ever venture to Seattle.

Storyville Coffee
This place is a coffee shop by day and a restaurant by night. I cannot speak for the food, but they have some of the most amazing coffee I have ever had. The Pikes Place location is a bit hard to find. Let me know if you have any troubles. It's worth finding.

The Ferris Wheel
You can't come to Seattle and not try out the ferris wheel. It's a bit pricey, but the view is phenomenal and the experience is worth it. It's most fun at night because you can see the city all lit up.

(Obviously) Pikes Place
Seattle is known for Pikes Place and even though it's a bit of a touristy spot, Mason and I constantly go back because it's so much fun. There is lots of food, cheap and beautiful bouquets of flowers and unique vendors selling hand made items. Pikes Place also has the first Starbucks (which always has a massive line). The gum wall is in Pikes place, which is a must if you are from out of town. It's a fun experience for the whole family. It's a bit crazy so stay close and enjoy the free samples!!

Saba Ethiopian Cuisine
If you like ethnic food and specifically ethiopian food, this is the place to go. The inside is nice, servers are sweet and food is to die for. It is also a massive amount of food for the price. And who doesn't like to eat with their hands?
